Since 1971, I have been handling commercial real estate transactions throughout the Houston, Texas, area. Since 1984 I have been Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in residential and commercial real estate law, a designation given to only relatively few attorneys in Texas and one that recognizes an exceptional level of qualification in the practice of real estate law. I have handled hundreds of trials and dozens of appeals in Texas and federal trial and appellate courts. At all times I strive to achieve and maintain the highest possible professional and ethical standards.
Active in the Houston community
I am a native of Houston and have practiced law in the area since shortly after graduating from the University of Houston Law Center in 1970, after first working as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Department of Justice in Washington D.C. I have been an active member in area civic organizations. My twin girls are grown and both live and work on the East Coast. My wife, Olga Flores, and I were married for 25 years, until her death in 2005. I enjoy cycling, photography, and gourmet cooking.
